Project Nawah

Launched in September 2019, Project Nawah by Enactus DSC addresses plastic pollution and social inequality by replacing plastic with sustainable bamboo alternatives and responsibly recycling plastic waste. The project empowers transgender individuals and marginalized communities by providing training in bamboo carving and plastic recycling, enabling them to create eco-friendly products like bamboo baskets, neem-infused brushes, and leak-proof tumblers. By collaborating with organizations like Alina Parmartham Foundation, SPYM, and Daily Dump, we ensure sustainability is both economically viable and socially impactful. Recognized among the top 42 global initiatives in the Enactus Nations’ “Race to Rethink Plastic”, Project Nawah is paving the way for a greener, more inclusive future.
